Welcome to Barbara Comstock Morse Elementary, Home of the Owls! I am honored and excited to serve as your principal and to join a school community with such a rich history and strong commitment to students. At BCM, we believe Knowledge Is Power and that every student deserves to feel known, valued, supported, and challenged. Our work is centered on creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we are preparing our Owls to become confident learners, thoughtful problem-solvers, and leaders of strong character.

Our teachers provide high-quality, standards-based instruction designed to meet the diverse needs of every learner. Through collaboration, targeted instruction, intervention, enrichment, and opportunities for student leadership, we work to ensure that all students have access to the support and challenge they need to grow. BCM also embraces a college and career going culture, encouraging students to dream big, set goals, persevere, and recognize the many possibilities available for their future.

Strong schools are built through strong relationships. Families are an essential part of our BCM community, and we value your voice and partnership. Throughout the year, families will have opportunities to participate in school events, parent leadership groups, workshops, celebrations, and other activities that strengthen the connection between home and school. We encourage you to stay connected with your child’s teacher, attend school events, volunteer when possible, and find ways to become involved in our school community. When families and schools work together, our students benefit.

As I begin my journey at BCM, I look forward to learning the BCM way, honoring the traditions and legacy that make our school special, and working alongside our staff, students, and families to continue making our school an even better place for kids. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being an important part of our BCM family. I look forward to an incredible year of learning, growth, connection, and celebration.
